Our Approach to Our Patients: Together We Will Rebuild Your Life!
At the very least, spinal cord injuries (SCI) can seriously impair an individual’s lifestyle. At their worst, they can change a life forever. Our goal is not just to treat the person with the spinal cord injury, but to help them achieve the fullest recovery possible and a happy, independent lifestyle.
Recovering from a spinal cord injury can be a slow and difficult process. The fear and frustration of having a spinal cord injury can leave one feeling hopeless. It takes specialized clinicians with high levels of skill and dedication to assist individuals with SCI to help them reach their highest potential.
Hospital for Special Care (HSC) treats all levels of spinal cord dysfunction through its continuum of care: from ventilator management and interdisciplinary therapies to pain management and community re-entry. A comprehensive treatment plan is tailored to each individual by a dedicated rehabilitation team. Both inpatient and outpatient services are available based on the individual’s needs.
Depending on the level of injury, each person’s needs are different. Our rehabilitation team customizes care to provide the most reasonable and interdisciplinary approach to each patient’s rehabilitation. From admission to discharge, HSC staff is committed to rebuilding the lives of our patients.
